MySpace has launched a celebrity channel
Social network MySpace has launched a new site called MySpace Celebrity, which is dedicated to celebrities. The new section will be posted news ( including rumors, collected from the site of the magazine People) about famous actors, musicians, athletes and their blogs, and multimedia content. Visitors to the new resource will be able to learn the latest gossip about famous people who read posts about their charitable activities and news from behind the scenes of life, as well as to communicate directly with the Stars.
At the time of launch site MySpace Celebrity, there were about three hundred official celebrity profiles. According to the president and co-founder of MySpace Tom Anderson, MySpace Celebrity will be the new home page in Hollywood, wrote in a blog CNET News Caroline McCarthy. Anderson said that the well-known artists have used social networking site MySpace since its launch, but now the celebrities will be offered the opportunity to post their profiles on a dedicated channel, the content aggregator. The new resource also will reduce the number of false personal pages, which allegedly belong to the stars, but, in fact, do not have to do with them.
Now on MySpace already has a number of channels, content aggregators, including the political channel Impact Channel. Under Impact, opened in March 2007, contains information about the ten candidates who will qualify for the presidency of the United States during the elections in 2008. In particular, the Impact Channel section contains biographical information, photos and videos, Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Ron Paul, Barack Obama, and other. MySpace users can not only view information about the candidates for U.S. president, but also to post links to any of them on their own ' profiles '.
